On Sunday Brandon and I rented jet skis and headed out in the Pacific along the CR coast. We were on a guided tour but it was a great time. Definately want to do this again back home.

On Tuesday most of the group took a tour of Manuel Antonio National Park and saw a lot of wildlife. We had a great guide, Johann, who took a lot of time to point things out. Most things were tiny or at a good distance, so we used his scope to get better pictures.

This is most of the group we are with in Costa Rica.

We didn't even get out of the driveway of our house before the guide pointed out Squirrel Monkeys and a Three Toed Sloth. The sloth is in this picutre.

We saw a lot of frogs, lizards and geckos but I have trouble remembering most of their names.

A Fiery-billed Aracari.

An Anole.

An Ameiva Lizard.

Costa Rica Trip, June 2011

Here is a white face monkey that visited our house. We placed bananas on the deck railing and several monkeys came to visit.

We took an awesome zip line tour across the canopy of a rain forest Saturday. A couple friends of my parents, Rick and Kimberly, came too and we met two guys from Chicago, Anthony and Jimmy, who were in our group.

The trip took us across 10 different zip lines over the forest. Here is our group just before the longest section, which was over 1000 ft long.

And here I am going across this section.

Almost all the way across. Pretty amazing.

This was the highest section, over 100 meters to the forest floor.

Rick proposed to Kimberly after one of the sections!

Poison Dart frog.

We went on a waterfall swiming tour...

...and went ATVing, tearing it up along and through a river bed.

Brandon did a good job of getting everyone wet and muddy.
